I stopped by Studio 4 yesterday to talk about ways to dress stylishly during the summer heat. It’s always a fun time to go to Studio 4, and this time was a lot better than last time when they had to cut in the middle of the segment for a tornado being on the ground outside of Amarillo. No tornados this time thank goodness, and all went smooth! You can see the entire video here.
I personally love summer, and think it is the easier season to dress for. Throwing on a silk dress and sandals is so simple, so there is no reason not to look good while dealing with high temps.
Also, I mentioned in the video the importance of building a closet that will last. As much as I love a good floral print, or even the palm leaf print trend that is happening right now, I think it is so important to mix pieces in that are timeless staples – like the shirtdress we just got in. Something I like to do personally is spend less on major trend pieces – look at Zara, Asos, or H&M for the things that will only last a month, and invest more into the pieces that will be able to transition into different seasons. Building your closet is all about mixing high and low and getting creative.
