Some of you may not know this, but I am currently in the process of “planning” my wedding. It’s nothing new to our family and friends, in fact we’re less than a week away from hitting our one year anniversary of being engaged. That’s right, I said being engaged. Why has it taken so long, you ask? Well, a couple months after Daniel proposed I moved to Amarillo and opened a store which kind of got in the way. And although I can not wait to make him my husband – I just can’t get in the wedding mood. I know our families and more specifically my mother are tired of hearing the “I opened a store” pity party – so my mother has gone full force wedding planning – with little to no input from me.
The good news is we finally set a date, and picked a location – Santa Fe. Now we still have to decide decor, food, music, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and I need a dress. That’s a lot to do in 4 months. (Oh ya, did I mention we waited a year to pick a date 4 months away? I know, I’ve lost all my marbles.)
All I know is I want simple. I want small and simple and romantic and quaint. I love the blush and slate colors in the first board, but am also drawn to the bold colors in the second board. I know I want to stick to a Santa Fe aesthetic and keep it in tune with our location – but really like the way fruit was used in the second board. Now to make another decision… By the way – you can see more of my inspirations here.
