For a while now I’ve been wanting to start a “her style” section on our blog. I don’t mean to brag, but you ladies do a really good job of wearing things from Semblance and an even better job of wearing the pieces in a way that fit your everyday style. So without further ado, meet Cami…
I first met Cami in the store right when we had opened. I would like to say, for her husbands sake, that we became friends through some type of gym/book club or such, but we really just became friends during her many stops at the store (sorry David).
Cami is just one of those girls with killer style. She can print mix and stack jewelry like no other, and has a way of mixing pieces together that just always seems to work. I actually always find myself wanting to copy her outfit every time I see her – or every time I see her #ootd posts on instagram.
The other thing that makes Cami just really cool is that she is training for her (wait for it) SECOND full marathon. And, she just recently started a blog about all that goes along with marathon training – including what to wear. (Because in my book what to wear when you’re running trumps the actual activity of running.) Read her blog here.
Name: Cami Sharp
Occupation: Registered Dietitian, BSA Hospital
Flats or heels: Always heels! They make your legs look longer and it tones your calves, both of which are good things
Dress or separates: Separates
Colored nails or nude: Colored. Life is too short.
Clutch, crossbody, or shoulder bag: I have recently embraced the crossbody – so handy to have your hands free! But a good clutch makes me feel very fancy
Running late style tip: Top knot!!
How would you describe your style?
Can I pick both trendy and preppy? What would that be? Treppy? Hah!
Style icon? Or blogger with a style you adore?
Besides the obvious choice of Audrey or Jackie, I really love to see what Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Princess Kate, and Blair (Of Atlantic – Pacific) wear. They always look so polished.
What sort of pieces are you most into lately?
Blazers! I think they can make any outfit look more put together than a cardigan, also great for taking summer outfits into fall. Plus, it’s always FREEZING in the hospital so they’re handy to have on.
Favorite places to shop?
Of course Semblance (!!), J.Crew, Gap, Nordstrom, and even Dillards. Sadly I probably spend the most money at Lululemon (my husband can attest).
What’s on your wishlist for fall?
Leather anything, oxblood, nude heels – I’m still searching for the perfect pair, and a fabulous black cross body bag.
what Cami’s wearing: chevron drop earrings from semblance, dogeared wishbone necklace, initial pendant from semblance, tank (similar), vince camuto blazer (similar), margaret elizabeth ring from semblance, j.crew belt, shorts from semblance, marc by marc jacobs bag, target sunglasses, j.crew heels, nail color – you don’t know jacques by opi
